Lazos 7th year kicks off in a big way!

Three dozen Hispanic and Latino students, staff, and faculty from all around ISU attended the kick off Lazos social in the Pat Thiel Atrium, in Hach Hall (Chemistry), on Monday August 29. The room was filled with conversations between old friends and new acquaintances. Before our keynote speaker, Dean Luis Rico Gutierrez of the College of Design, everyone sat around a family-style dinner table to socialize and enjoy dinner. Dean Luis then shared some personal anecdotes and advise for the participants about being true to who you are and using those innate traits to carry you along your journey. The dinner concluded with a sense of community where each participant is welcome to contribute to Lazos in their own unique way.

The next Lazos social will take place on September 19, at 5:30pm, in the Pat Thiel Atrium, in Hach Hall. All are welcome!
